To aid the celebrations of this event, we encourage volunteers and participants to wear something festive or even come dressed as your sporting icon?

The events are not timed as they will be classed as a training run, however, the route will be supported with course marshals and signage.

To take part in the event, all we ask is that you make an ‘honesty’ donation of whatever you can afford to the fundraising link below which will be shared equally between Funding Neuro and Sporting Memories Foundation Scotland:

Sporting Memories Foundation Scotland

The Sporting Memories Foundation Scotland is a charity like no other. We support older people across the UK living with dementia, depression and loneliness by engaging them in social activities and helping them to recall memories of watching or playing sport. By sharing memories of sporting moments and tapping into a passion for sport we help people to connect with others and with their past, reawakening positive thoughts and feelings that otherwise remain hidden away.

Funding Neuro

Our aim is to accelerate the development of new treatments for many of the most serious neurological conditions. We provide solutions to the serious failings across neurosurgical care. We do not focus on one single neurological condition nor do we duplicate the work being carried out by other charities. Instead we identify the issues that hinder progress and find solutions so that research and innovative therapies can be accelerated.
